Thai Yoga Massage Intro Workshop 6th October 2018 2-5pm

Prana Yoga Oxford, Osney Island, Oxford

Price £40, book your place here

This Introductory Workshop is a wonderful opportunity to get to know the art of Thai Yoga Massage while having fun giving and receiving some beautiful, meditative bodywork. Studies have shown just how important human touch is to our health and wellbeing, and Thai Yoga Massage is a wonderful way to share discover those benefits for yourself and others.

Thai Yoga Massage, also known as Traditional Thai Massage, has roots in Yoga and Ayurveda as well as Buddhism. It was brought to Thailand from India around 2000 years ago. It is a holistic therapy that works on a deeper level than purely the physical body. Working on the 10 Sen lines, similar to the Chinese Meridians, practitioners aim to balance the body's energy systems and clear blockages, bringing overall wellbeing. This bodywork consists of a mixture of acupressure and gentle assisted yoga stretches, with the client wearing soft comfortable clothing, and the therapist working with a meditative flow. It is a wonderful experience for both giver and receiver!

This workshop will very much focus on hands-on learning. You will learn a sequence of simple but deeply effective stretches and exercises that are safe and easy to give, and feel fantastic! You will receive a manual to take away with you so that you can share what you have learned with your family and friends afterwards.

Come along with a partner or friend, or come on your own and partner up with someone. This is a lovely way to meet and connect with new friends.
